Wonderful hotel, where you understand the meaning of Japanese clean, and hospitality. It's such a great feeling, to stay in a sparkling clean and hygienic room, and feel completely safe using bathrooms. Even the tea kettles are top quality, with a stainless steel interior, so no plastic gets in the water. This is important because doctors and researchers recently confirmed that plastic in our water can cause serious medical issues, including heart failure. Also a huge thank you to the amazing staff. The manager is just wonderful, and went above and beyond to help with my luggage, and kindly provided perfect directions in excellent English. Although he was obviously very busy, he always took the time to help and never seemed rushed or stressed. The calm, elegant Japanese lady, and the lovely, friendly lady from Taiwan, both at front desk, are true professionals. They gave me the feeling of a top level 4 star hotel. Thanks again to the entire team here. I look forward to coming back next time I'm in Kyoto, and will be referring this hotel to friends who are always asking for recommendations in Japan.

I absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! The interior of the lobby is stunning, with a modern yet cozy design that immediately makes you feel welcome. Our bedroom was spacious, well-appointed, and provided plenty of room for our family to relax comfortably. What truly stood out was the thoughtful provision of a baby crib, which was a lifesaver for us traveling with our 4-month-old baby. It’s rare to find a hotel that is so accommodating to families with infants, and we truly appreciated it. The staff was warm and attentive, ensuring all our needs were met, and the overall atmosphere was perfect for a family getaway. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stylish, comfortable, and family-friendly place to stay!

Lovely property just off the beaten path. Staff was helpful and accommodating. Rooms are small (as anticipated) but were quiet; beds were comfortable and climate control was good. The shower was a good size and had great water pressure. Of course, the toilets were amazing. There's a small refrigerator, and you can find a community microwave on floor 2 where the laundry machines are (they're top loaders and they work great). The reception area on the main floor has several seating areas which are lovely for hanging out in. The metro is a 3-minute walk away (there's a Starbucks down there before the pay gates). In the other direction you can walk to Nijō Castle. There's also a place nearby to rent bikes.

We stayed in many hotels during our time in Japan and this was by far the best hotel we stayed in. The price was an amazing deal for what we got. The beds and pillows were so comfy and the room was more spacious than our other hotels. The room was clean and they did a great job cleaning each day. The location was also wonderful. We were located in a quieter part of the city but had easy access to everywhere we wanted to visit. The hotel is about a 3 minute walk to access the trains. So happy with this hotel and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Kyoto.

For the price, room size is absolutely worth it. Location is convenient and within walking distance to the main shopping streets. Hotel is well designed, very modern which I am very particular about. We also had excellent support during checkout with their staff, Iwata. She was such a great help with assisting our baggage issue as we needed to travel to much more remote locations and have large luggages. Very kind as well! Thank you Iwata, and Park Hotel for the memorable stay.
